review 1: Sweet sweeeet sweeet lucasOh boyIf only guy like him does existWell this just simple love story but i like itEventhough this is a simple cheated love story, betrayed. But we never knew from dustin or the author not specifically write story between dustin and irelyn. That's why i never judge irelyn eventhough she was wrong, what she did completely wrong because she cheated on dustin but the author make us fell in love to luke insteadThe lack thing here is just they met instantly and did the deed so fast, no process and they did it again. Well even there's no such thing as heavy drama.Kinda impossible to know such a guy like lucas who's in a band, as a vocalist but not a bad boy enough.
review 2: Irelyn is in college, her tuition paid for by her grandfather. Her m
... moreother was a free spirit when she was younger and had fun with musicians, hence how Irelyn was born. Irelyn doesn't know who her father is. She lives a privileged life. Her grandfather sees how smart she is and agreed to put her through school as long as he calls the shots in her life. His reasoning is he doesn't want her turning into her mother Willimena. Irelyn is dating someone of equal financial stature to her grandfather named Dustin. He is attending law school and he adores Irelyn. And her grandfather approves. One Friday night she goes out with her friends Bailey and Morgan to Rusty's Bar after a week of school, planning to meet Dustin the following weekend once he is back from law school. While at Rusty's she meets Lucas, singer of a local band called Out Back. And there is chemistry. She ends up having an affair with him that night. But how long do you think she will get away with it when someone is reporting back to her grandfather on her whereabouts and with whom? And because of her indiscretions, what will she have to give up, her tuition or Lucas? This story reminded me of a water down version of Thoughtless. I LOVED Thoughtless and this definitely had some parallels. Local musician gets involved with a girl who is already dating a nice guy exclusively. Where they differ is this story was a lot shorter, not as much detail, and I had absolutely no connection with the characters. The angst was minimal. Overall, I liked the read, but it wasn't anything truly special. 2.5 - 3 stars. less
