review 1: I was disappointed in the book on the whole. The fly leaf mentions Monty Python and Fawlty Towers in the first paragraph but Cleese, in his wisdom, barely discusses either. Instead we're given an exhaustive trip through his school years and his early writing jobs like The David Frost Show.Cleese needs to accept that what he's known for, what people want to hear about, is Python and Fawlty Towers. Writing a book that covers everything but is just a rip off. It saddens me to say it but I'll never buy another book written by John Cleese.
