John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men is a great deep novella, which was published in 1937. The title of the story is an allusion of the famous poem "To a Mouse On Turning Her Up in Her Nest with a Plow", which was written by Robert Burns in 1785. The main characters are two men, Lennie Small and George Milton, striving for a better life. The men dream about light future, freedom, good work and sweet home. They live in the world of cruelty, fear, jealousy and lack of family. Nevertheless, they have each other, they always feel the support. Lennie often says to George: "I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you…".
