review 1: Jolie Kerr is really funny! And she really wants you to know how funny she is! By writing to you - yes, you - with lots of exclamation points!! If you have never cleaned anything in your life, if you are moving into your very first apartment, if you have a high tolerance for living in exceedingly filthy surroundings - maybe this book is for you. This is Cleaning for Dummies, because does anyone really need to be told to empty a refrigerator of its contents in order to clean it? Apparently. I didn't learn anything that can't be found by either a) asking absolutely anyone, or b) a quick Google search. But OMG, this girl can joke about cleaning!! So funny!!!
review 2: Jolie Kerr is a delightful writer with a fine sense of humor and proportion, and it is nice to... more have a comprehensive (!) book of cleaning tips from such a person. That said, it is not such rollicking fun that it is a book to sit down and read, cover to cover, because at the end of the day it is about CLEANING, which is something most of us do because we have to, not because we want to. Anyway, I am happy this young lady exists in the world and has found a way to share her most unusual fusion of gifts, but yeah, buy it and refer to it as needed. less
