review 1: This book had me laughing so hard :) For anyone who's grown up in the church, Acuff provides a refreshingly humorous perspective on those inside jokes that we didn't even know Christians had. It's hilarious. Also, throughout the book Acuff inserts various cartoons to share some more witty humor. In the final chapter, the author expertly transforms funny stories into more serious, thought-provoking illustrations about our faith. I loved reading this book and would definitely recommend it :)
review 2: I couldn't finish this one. Although quite clever at first, the cleverness wore on me after a while. I may eventually finish the book by picking it back up in between other books I'm reading but it really didn't hold my interest due to how the humor was similar in ... moreeach short section. It was kind of like an irritating stand up comic - he was funny for the first ten minutes but after an hour you just want to leave. less
