review 1: I hated the younger sister in this book so very very much and the ending where we forgive her because she is our sister, just did not sit well with me. Other things I did not like, was the protagonist having sex without us witnessing it. I was like, hello, I am here for the sexy bits and your telling me that sometimes you leave the bedroom door open but other times you close it. Damned you and not letting me be the perve I thought I was signing up to be by reading romantic erotica books. Overall though, Jordan Bell knows how to write. The starting of this book was gripping and the descriptions where amazing and atmospheric. The routine got a little wobbly in the middle, and then by the end we failed to land the dismount, because we forgive our slutty little sister. Al... moreso I would have been pro curvy girl rushing to get married to keep her house, instead of having the dude buy it from the bratty sister. No! Not only did the bratty sister continue to be bratty, but she gets the guy, and the wedding, and money for the house. NOPE! did not sit well with me. so yeah. I liked the writing. If you like Jordan Bell's other stuff and are on a kick like I was then I wouldn't skip it. Just be prepared to hate a lot of people.
review 2: synopsis:cassidy caught her fiancee and her sister in each other's arms, and now they are getting married. everyone, including her mother, like to pretend that the interlude with cassidy didn't happen; that the sister and the ex-fiance were only with each other. cassidy can't forget, especially since her sister, as the first to marry, will inherit their grandmother's house, which cassidy has lived in forever. to top things off, cassidy is overweight, which she feels has cost her any chance at happiness. when jason, her ex's older brother comes home for the wedding, cassidy sees the opportunity to do something for herself. it's not going to be serious, because jason will be heading back to where he came from after the wedding.what i liked: jason. he liked cassidy the way she was, and didn't pretend that her previous relationship never happened. he didn't think that she should forgive and forget.what i didn't like: come on. NO ONE thought that it was wrong for the ex and the sister to do what they did? not to mention insisting that she be in the wedding party? there wasn't a lot of story, outside of the pity party and the sex. less
