review 1: This was pretty good. Honestly, I liked the trilogy way better.PLOTNot all that believable. The mean girls automatically assume that Daphne is trying to steal their boyfriends and they attack her with scissors. In the locker room. I feel like that couldn't actually happen. Where are all the teachers? Nonexistence? Also, the graffiti thing lost me. Ajax was an artist? Since when? And how did he know she cut her hair? How did he paint a mural in like 5 minutes? More Scion magic?DAPHNETo me, it felt like it was Helen pretending to be Daphne. In the trilogy, I got the impression that Daphne was super independent and didn't care at all about other people's opinions. She seemed totally fine with her self image and everything. In this, it seems like she's really shy and insecure a... morend I had to keep reminding myself that it was her and not Helen. Still though, I liked it. Interesting idea.
review 2: My first novella ever. This novella definitely helps me to understand Daphne and prepare me for the rest of the series. At first, I thought she was a major bitch in Starcrossed, but now I feel a bit understanding towards her ways and character. This also helps to explain how Helen is the way she is. They both were amongst the geeks, Daphne took AP classes and Helen was supposed to as well. Both were bullied by females and loved by the males. I love the way she and Ajax meant, but now I'm more curious to know what really happened between the two of them. Wish this was more than 9 pages. At least 100! less
