review 1: This was a nice cute read. I absolutely loved Mason. The story line was very cute. It kept me interested from the very first chapter. Had me wondering why oh why doesn't she want this wonderful guy to get to know her. Then everything unfolded. And I understood what was going wrong. Letting people dictate your life for you. Is never a good thing. I was so happy when she stood up to her mother and took a stand to live her life how she felt fit. Wonderful book. I enjoyed it very much
review 2: 3.5 star rating!Hes a middle class man shes the Governors daughter, she goes off for spring break and pretends to be a normal person, and falls in love. After spring break she returns to her ''other life'' where her mother moulds her in to whats expected of her; this include... mores a relationship with a male who is of a similar upbringing. Mason (summer fling boy) arrives, and they bump in to one another, and start a secret relationship, and it goes from there! Its a sweet book with the potential to be a great story, but i wasnt sure on how to take the end, I feel like the ending is happy but it felt like an easy open ending. Its an easy read, sweet characters, at times I wanted to shout at Charlotte to get a back bone and stand up to her mother as she is an adult! stop playing pretend and be happy! It has a lot of angst and little bit more conflicts and unpredictable situations would have made the book a 4 star for me! I would read more from this author. less
