review 1: Not keen on either character much less both of them together. I didn't like how either of them handled their relationship. Lucas letting himself be with someone who used him and his grilfriend for his own desires for years and Danilo for not manning up and decide sooner what he wanted. And his "redemption" wasn't any kind of redemption at all because he ended up almost manipulating Lucas or at least the circumstances with the kid so that they could be together again. Maybe it was supposed to invoke romantic feelings of me or something but I just got angry with Lucas for letting himself get blindsided/handled by the situation and Danilo. A boot up his *ss would've been more appropriate. Both of them. Even if I am a little sympathetic with Lucas.

... more 2.5I was eager to read this one as it hit a lot of my like buttons. I love ex's and jealousy and kids and grovelling and I thought that was what I was going to get. But sadly it never played out the way I expected.I never felt connected to Lucas or Danilo. There was too much telling of the past and not enough letting us see them as a couple. The best way I can describe it, is it was like reading the end of a book, things were explained and everything tidied up neatly but I felt I missed out on the beginning of the story. I did like the way Mira was portrayed. That part was a refreshing change, and little Luca was sweet but not really enough page time for me. Overall a nice idea, just not quite what I was expecting. less
