Many comments caught my attention but one by Mahnaz Afkhami continued on a never ending loop..."the fundamentalist revolution not only destroyed my history and my identity and my connections and my family. This is a highly-charged book with interviews of more than 300 people, who are also Muslims, but are on the frontlines of battling religious fundamentalism/ extremism/ excepti... moreonalism. Some of these stories are really eye-opening especially the accounts of the enforcement of Sharia laws - literal hand sawing, stoning and lashing being carried out in this day and age.
