review 1: To Sir, With Love tells the story of a soldier who falls in love with a fellow soldier during WWII. It's a touching tale about how two men found love in the most harrowing and frightening of times. Casual glances and touches turn into full blown passion as the men explore their new relationship and dream of a place where they can express their love freely and without the threat of attack or ridicule. This is a lovely story that will break your heart, but also make you believe in true love.
review 2: I'm marking this as four stars for the subject of the story, not that I thought it was brilliantly written.I haven't been able to find any novels or stories about male/male solider relationships during World War 2 except for this one. And while it was a bittersweet
... moretale, I wish it was better written. Yes I know it's just a flash-fiction, less than 1000 words, but it could have been much more powerful.I didn't believe that I was reading a story told by a young man. It felt like a story told by a woman. Perhaps first person wasn't the best choice for point of view. But regardless of how I feel about the way the story was written, I am very glad it exists. less

this book was cute, I just wished that it was longer, or that there at least was a sequel!
