review 1: After reading a string of books chock full of dysfunctional people and relationships, I was hoping this would be a little fluffier than it was. I enjoyed the banter between the couple and some of their attempts to bridge the gap between their extremely different lives. But they both seemed pretty selfish and unbending, which made the ending kind of come out of nowhere. The ending is also very unresolved, which can feel like the right choice with some stories, but I didn't like it here.
review 2: The book started out with just the kind of quirkiness that I love. And it stayed that way for most of it. But then ..... The love story ran out of love and I hated that. And I surely didn't love the ending. The discussion questions with the author at the end indicates s... morehe wrote a sequel to this story (which might make me like the book a little more since the ending wouldn't really be the ending) but I don't think it's been translated into English. less
