review 1: I actually liked this book more than 3 stars but the number of grammatical and typographical errors was so large that it destroyed the readability of the book. At first I thought it was purposeful, but then I noticed that there was no consistency to words that were misspelled and other grammatical errors. Frankly, the editor should be fired. I read the second and it was the same. I haven't decided whether I can stand reading the third. English majors beware!!
review 2: This is a dystopian ya novel, which is our future world with a serious lack of girls. Hence the name, THE BREEDERS. Girls of fertile age are found, rounded up like cattle, and impregnated over-and-over until they die or are no longer fertile.This particular book focuses on 16 year old Riley, her ... morebrother Ethan, and a hot guy named Clay. There's a good bit of action, a little suspense, and a teeny bit of romance. It was a good read, but it didn't wow me enough to buy the second book. I would, however, read another book by this author. The writing was good. less
