review 1: Re-reading so I can continue. Loved the book the first time, but wanted to refresh details before continuing with 2 & 3. One of the few books I can re-read. Most I try but just can't do more than scan. This book is different, in a good way. Will post a full review when I finish again.UPDATE: I have finished re-reading and have upgraded to 5 stars. It was like reading it for the first time, even though I knew the story, I still road the ups and downs like it was the first time. The story is so great and well developed as are the characters. There are a few phrases that are slightly over used, but with a great story, I can over look that. This is easily one of my new favorite authors.
review 2: Amazing book, with realistic characters that you can't help but root ... morefor them. I loved that K.E Saxon didn't waste time (and our patience) and resolved matters quickly, instead of dragging them out. A book that you can't put down.At 93% I realised that the story isn't yet told in full, so I bought immediately the second part of the trilogy and I stayed up most of the night to start it! I don't regret a minute and I highly reccomend it to all Highlanders fans! less
