review 1: I have to admit I put this down after reading the first couple of paragraphs. I'm apparently really put off by brand name dropping. I know it was to express how much of a spoiled rich girl the heroine was but it made me want to DNF this book.I did pick it back up with the intention of skimming but I ended up reading the whole thing. I was pretty good once I got over those first couple of name drops.Raif and Sarah were in a way the same type of person but then totally different. They were both rich with him being a playboy photographer and her being a Daddy's rich girl. That's where their paths diverge though. He's ready for more in life while she's still clutching to the dream of her father actually noticing and loving her.I'd say if you haven't tried Ms. Wallace then you ... moreshould. This was an enjoyable, quick read.
review 2: I actually ended up skimming this book more than reading it.I found that the female lead, Sarah, was rather irritating to me. I didn't find her to be all that likeable, and she seemed a bit over the top. In general, the characters didn't seem to be all that well developed. There was a lot of background information that was missing that would have made the story so much better. There were two sex scenes, both of which made me feel like it was just a thinly veiled porn - like it would have been found in some men's magazine. The language was graphic, which isn't a problem, when handled correctly. But there was no build up of emotion, of tension, no real sense that this was the culmination of them acting on real feelings. It was more like they were both just horny and needed to get laid, so they did. This was the first book I've ever read by this author, and I will give another of her books a chance, in case this was just a fluke. But this one did not impress me. less
