review 1: This one wasn't bad but it was super short (about 30 pages) so it didn't really have an opportunity to be good either. The story is set after Austin and Ashley had spent the whole summer together because their families went to the same vacation spot by coincidence. The whole story takes place on the first day of school. Actually, half of the first day since it ends by lunch. Ashley is nervous because Austin hasn't been responding to her texts since they got back from vacation. There were a couple things that I found slightly distracting (a Paris Hilton reference? Really? The joke should have been a "Who is she?" for Paris too. And glittery eyeshadow should never be worn in daylight hours except by hookers and children playing dress up); however, I was invested enough ... morein the characters that I will likely buy the over-priced 50 page sequel just to see how things turn out for Ashley and Austin.
review 2: what is with all these super short books?!?! over all it was an ok story. i thought it was going to actually tell you the story while they were getting to know each other and then when they got back, buuut it just started when they got back. it was the standard story of the "nerdy" girl and "popular" guy and then the guy being a prince charming kinda thing. Just wish it was a longer story though, went by waaayyyy to quick. not very fulfilling as a book. zoo just two stars but still good. less
