review 1: Really unique and interesting. Delia speaks to statues-- but that's not so odd considering they speak to her. Grant was once the teenage Delia's hero, and ten years later he steps in to save the day again. Or take advantage, depending on your point of view. There's a psycho cousin with a very disturbing gift, and a cast of a dozen or so statues who are the only family that has never let Delia down. The epilogue was a little confusing, but overall a well written and unusual story.
review 2: The main character of this story can talk to stone statues, who talk back to her. Great idea - I loved the developing characters of these statues, especially Frank, Bert and Grandmere. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is that it was a little more sexually explicit tha
... moren I normally read and I was slightly turned off by the main character's contantly throwing herself at the "hero" to avoid conversations or involvement. I understood why, just could have done without the details. However, the idea of talking to statues was very novel, so kudos to the author for this. I would recommend this book, just with the caveat that it contains adult content. less
