review 1: This was a sweet and slow romance. The plot was good. Cassie had just finished a trial where she was a juror. After the trail, jurors are being murdered. Cassie didn't even have time to pack, before she was being moved to a safe house. She found herself on a ranch in Montana, and pretending to be a wife to Shane, a sexy cowboy. Shane didn't want to take advantage of the situation. He wanted to get to know Cassie, and really date her before the two became lovers. I loved the slow build up of the story. The two had instant chemistry, but they kept the relationship to only hot, slow kisses through most of the book. The book also had a bit of action, but if I tell you what happen, I might spoil the book. I wouldn't want to do that. If you want a really sweet book, with a slow ... morepace, and sexy cowboys that work a ranch, then you may enjoy this one.
review 2: Cute romance, not entirely Christian romance due to mild swearing and hot kisses, but no graphic sex scenes or extraneous and distracting swearing either. City girl Cassie sits on a jury for a high profile crime. When the criminal is locked away, his brothers begin to hunt down the jurors for revenge. Cassie is removed from her Seattle life to the Emerson ranch in Montana. To avoid excessive questions and explain her presence at the ranch, she poses as the new wife of Shane Emerson.The story then focuses mainly on the relationship between Cassie and Shane, with very little being said about the Lawson brothers who are supposedly looking for Cassie. There is a red herring and that part is rather creepy, but overall the novel was a little anti-climatic regarding the suspense portion.Good story for a quick and easy beach read. less
