review 1: I thoroughly loved this book. Not only is it about a child with autism who is also a genius, it's about love. Love for your child and supporting them in what they need to grow and thrive. Love between a couple and there hardships. It's about believing in a child's limits ability to accomplish amazing things whether they be 'normal' or have challenges. I believe reading this book could help anyone be a better parent.
review 2: This book changed how I thought about myself as a parent. Kristine Barnett did an amazing thing in raising her son, Jake -- she encouraged him to follow his passion from a young age. Despite his diagnosis of autism as a toddler, and the despite the limitations others set for him, Kristine believed in her son and nurtured his talents.
