review 1: Always beautifully written!!!! I took my time reading this book because I knew that I had some time to wait before K.S. Haigwood published anything else. I am dying for more of her books because they are straight up perfection! Forbidden Touch is a standalone book unrelated to her other two series’ Save My Soul and Eternal, but nonetheless, her book is magnificent. I enjoyed reading the book chapter by chapter and reflecting as well as trying to imagine living in it. I find myself jealous of Haigwood’s characters and wish so badly to be one! I have to give this book a measly 5 stars when it needs more like 10-20 stars….I extra super-duper loved it and believe you will as well.

In the book vampire detective Ciara visits human homicide detective Mitch in his dreams, where he falls for her. Love rival Dane, a vampire himself, fights to win Ciara's affection, too, and he frames Mitch for murder.Told from Mitch's and Ciaras perspective we see their love developing beautifully.After a slow start the story then moves fast as Ciara and Mitch run away and hide from her family who will not tolerate her love for a mortal. I don't want to spoil it for you by giving more of the plot away but from here it is action packed and has some unexpected twists that make it an entertaining and enjoyable read. The love triangle is particularly well done. less
