review 1: An interesting approach to a classic lovestory where first love gets a second chance. Easy to relate to, when Holly realises she has changed so much since she left her home town that she doesnt really know herself any more. Seeing as it is a romantic novel things can only really go one way, but I am glad that it finished like it did. Funny, well written, clever and likeable. A good book all in all :)
review 2: I really needed something light and funny after reading a brilliant novel and this seemed like the perfect antidote. It starts off really well with some excellent laugh out loud moments (sadly some of these were as I was reading in bed and nearly woke up my hubby!). The characters of Holly and Alex - life long friends who love each other but who have never
... more admitted it to each other - are brilliant and I really liked them both. Jem, Holly's friend and work colleague, is also a great character but my favourite had to be Kevin who came out with most of the laugh out loud lines. I thoroughly enjoyed this for about half of the book but then it just slowly fizzled out and I felt the ending was a little flat.I'm pleased I read it as it brought me slowly back to earth after my previous brilliant book. less

Good chick lit read. Some humour, predictable plot but still worth a read.
