review 2: I had many different thoughts about this book. I loved this series in middle and high school, so I was happy to find this book at the library. My first thoughts is that this would be a fun book to fill out with friends, and the dialogue between the girls was hilarious.On the other hand, I was completely horrified! I can'... moret believe I was reading something so crude when I was younger (although I didn't pick up on some of these things until I got older). I might sound like some whiny prudish person, but seriously! Some of the quizzes in this book left me a bit shocked. These book are targeted at girls younger than I am. Does the author really think it's ok for 14 year old girls to sit around quizzing each other about whether or not they like to use the term "hoo-ha" or their feelings on naughty underwear and birth control? I read these when I was my baby sisters age, and there is NO WAY I would let her take these out of the library! They really aren't appropriate for the young teens that they are targeted at. Yes these books are funny, but the humor is very crude. I hate that I sound like some sort of whiny parent. But really, why would someone write about crotchless underwear in a book for young teens?! less
