review 1: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, which in no way influenced my review.I positively LOVED this book. I found myself laughing out loud at many times. There were times I laughed so hard I had tears rolling down my face. I just loved Merry's wit and humor. I was hooked when she found the dead body at the Girl Scout Camp. I nearly couldn't stop laughing at the knot tying and fire starting excerpt. Being from Iowa and a former girl scout it only made me love it even more. I also found myself picturing the very same elementary school that I attended as Merry described the layout of the school. Lots of plot twists. Just when you think you have out figured out she surprises you again. In the midst of all the craziness surrounding the murders there is even romance... more. I can't wait to see more adventures for Merry. I couldn't put this down. I was up well past 2am reading this one. My only regret.....Now I have to wait for the next book in the series.
review 2: I had so much fun reading about Riley, Merry (Finn) and Rex, their sarcastic and delightful dialogue kept me glued to the book immediately!! A down and definitely out ex-CIA agent now a girl scout leader (or helper) I mean who would believe it?? And "red herring" I mean c'mon with two hot alpha's helping or is that hindering Merry the "who dun it" should of been discovered right away but Ms. Langtry kept the story interesting and the ride wild till the end!! Definitely a funny and entertaining book with some serious suspense!! less
