review 1: Aidan McConnell is a psychic who's been burned when an old case leads to the death of a child. Withdrawing from Savannah, he settled in quiet Granville, GA, cutting himself off from everything and everyone who could remind (or blame) him of his failure. But Granville is far from idyllic. Teenage girls from the wrong side of town are going missing and no one seems interested. Except Lexie Nolan a reporter for the Granville Daily. Sadly, her determination to bring this series of disappearances is decried as sensationalism.Desperate to find the latest victim of the kidnapper the local sheriff derisively named the Granville Ghoul, Lexie enlists the reluctant Aidan and as they work the case together, an unexpected attraction develops between them. How they solve the case, with th... moree help of Aidan's former employer, eXtreme Investigations, a paranormal detective agency makes for an intriguing and page-turning read.I hadn't read any of Leslie Parrish's books before, but now, I'm determined to read more. In fact, I have already read the second book in this series, Cold Touch and I recommend picking up this series! The writing is crisp, the characters compelling and her acknowledgement that any "gift" has it's down side make this a very realistic read.Enjoy!
review 2: I loved Wyatt Blackstone and his crew in the Black CATs series, so I admit to having had high hopes for this the 1st in the Extrasensory Agents series. I'm sorry to be disappointed. But maybe that's just because I was expecting the same level of taut suspense woven with romance and 3D fleshed out characterization of the hero and heroine and sometimes even the villain. This first offering in the Psychic series was just too vanilla. We have cookie cutter psychic, formulaic "i hate-you therefore I have to sleep with you and now we're soul mates" kind of love story, and sociopath villain direct from Central Casting.I wish it was more fun to read less

Not bad. A well-written mystery/thriller with a liberal dash of romacne to sweeten.
