review 1: Not really sure how I would feel if I woke up in Z's situatiin. Smile, cry, be festive...don't get me wrong I liked it, it just seems as though it shouldn't be a story more like a short novella.. I thought I was getting something good, but with chapters that are only like 3 pages long its an extremely quick read. I guess my main complaint is that it felt as though this could've been a really great full length book, but it feels like the author just didn't want to go into that much detail and it sucks because she really had something with this short tale.
review 2: This is a pretty short read and honestly I was expecting a better story. Guess the blurb should have warned me enough that Zelina was going to be a stupid character. She gave in way too easily to th... moreese guys and on top of that there was no real drama or shock over them being shifters.I didn't care for the writing style and I especially didn't like the fact that the author made a new chapter every two pages. Call me crazy, but I have standards when I read a story and this just barely met any of them. The only positive thing I can say about this story was that it wasn't riddled with typos.Aside from the characters being somewhat annoying, they were very two dimensional and uninspiring. I didn't really care that Zelina was nearly killed by her date and I didn't feel much sympathy for her either. The only reason why I would have felt sorry for her was her ex was abusive toward her, but even that is swept under the rug like it never even happened.Then on top of the poor characters, the author obviously was trying hard to make her story a little more original by adding some variety to the werewolf and vampires (which she spells vampyre to be more original) 'mythology.' Of course to be even more original she gives all the characters "unique" names that really only come off as being ridiculous. Still can't get over the names Jezzie and Zelina.Won't bother reading anything else by this author, though anyone is welcome to read what they want I'd suggest you steer clear of this if you're more interested in characters actually forming a bond rather than just having sex half the book. Too short of a story to surrender that much time to them having sex. Seemed like a forced seduction that just didn't work right thanks to the author's poor writing skills. less
