review 1: I bought this book several months ago, but for whatever reason, I decided to open it on my kindle this morning. And I'm really glad I did.I enjoyed Lexxi Callahan's voice a lot. There was something really authentic and genuine about the way she told this story. I found myself turning pages even though it's only a week till Christmas and I have a million other things to do.Stefan is an asshole hero. Let's just get that out of the way right up front. He pissed me of a lot, but there was definitely something about him that made me want to keep rooting for him. Would I put up with some of his shit IRL? Probably not. However, as a reader, I found his asshole(ness) completely engaging.Loved our heroine, Jen. She has a long, tough history that reveals itself throughout the book. ... moreAnd while sometimes I found myself frustrated by the lack of communication between the two MCs, I realize that if they shared everything with each other in chapter one, this would have been a pretty short story.Also, holy shit at the UST in this book! The best I've read in contemporary romance in a while. Great, hot read, y'all. 4 stars
review 2: I am not sure what to even comment about this book. Parts of it I liked, some I didn't, and the rest left me confused. It started off ok but then it was an extreme side of alpha male that did not work for me. Then I felt that all of a suddenly the story changed and left me confused. I felt the author jumped around in this book. Also the ending felt extremely rushed. It finally started to get interesting and it just ended with a rushed epilogue out of left field. I felt overall it was awkward. less
