review 1: Wonderfully erotic! This book is a work of art! I love gay romance and I got this booking thinking it would be a little bit of fun but nothing too deep. Boy was I wrong! It was absolutely beautiful! Sevs' complete dedication to not only the art of submission but to Demetrie is an amazing thing to get to be a part of. What makes this story truly unique and well written is the fact that there are some things in the story that should be a turn off for me such as the clothing that Sev is dressed in and his androgynous appearance. (Absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's just not usually what gets my motor revving.) However it didn't take anything away from this story to me. In fact, I wouldn't change a thing. I would love to see whats next for Sev and Deme... moretrie.
review 2: There wasn't really much to this story and it was such a let down after reading Black's other story, Spiretown. There was no character development at all. I also didn't understand the world they were in one bit. I know it was meant to be dystopian but it fell far short. She should've filtered in a few more descriptions because I was confused - at the beginning, it read like a fantasy world, but suddenly there were limousines and cameras. Huh? You can't just chuck a few modern things into an olden world and call it dystopian - it needed to be developed so much more! less
