review 1: I enjoyed the first book so much, that this one was a huge disappointment. It suffers from "second book syndrome" in that there was just way too much going on, and nothing really resolved. I was disapointed that the female characters who were so strong in the first book were represented as almost opposite to that in this book, and just became like many other YA female characters - reliant on men, pining for love and sighing a lot. My other criticism is the number of spelling and punctuation errors throughout the book, it really needs another edit.
review 2: Sad to say I did not get very far into this book (about 10% on my kindle app). It's hard to put my finger exactly on why I had such a hard time getting into this one that after 2 weeks I've barely put a den
... moret in it. There's the way it started, with Nora and Bram getting all lovey-dovey - even after the first book I'm still like, ew! He's a zombie! Especially when she describes basically how his body is decaying... blech. Then there was a ton of war stuff, which nearly lost me in the first book. Plus not many returning favorites yet... I had grown quite fond of Pamela. Ah, well. Another to add to my did-not-finish shelf... less
