review 1: Let me start off by saying that this is a short beach read. It reminds me of the Harlequin short stories. The main character is Ava. It starts out with her at home sick on New Years Eve, only to have her fiancé missing. She calls him and wishes him a " Happy New Year ", and he answers her by telling her that he can't marry her. They were suppose to marry 6 weeks later on Valentine's Day. She goes on her honeymoon by herself after canceling everything else. It may have been predictable, but it was a nice little story. The ending was a little rushed and could have made the book much better had it been fleshed out.
review 2: New years eve at the stroke of midnight and over the phone Connor informs his fiancé Ava that he can't go through with their wedding... more which is set for six weeks time on valentines day, Ava is not quite as upset as she would have expected so it's maybe for the best especially when he admits to being unfaithful. Ava sets about cancelling all the wedding arrangements with the exception of the honeymoon, this she decides to take alone. The rest of the book plays out as expected, it has some some good characters and it's a nice enough easy romantic read. The ending felt rushed almost as if the author had run out of time, this book would have benefitted from an epilogue as well in my opinion. So this is a free quick easy romantic read which could have been so much better, I find myself saying that so much these days. less
