review 1: This book just did not do it for me. At.all. It was too fast, there was no character development. Supposed playboy with a girl in every port falls head over heels in love in 2 days and is proclaiming his everlasting love. It just wasn't realistic in any way. Add in the fact that I felt like I had read every line before. This book was one huge cliche from beginning to end. There was no feeling, no excitement, no...anything. It was just boring. The sex scenes seemed like they had been copied from a "so you want to write a sex scene" book. All in all, I just couldn't like it. Too bad.
review 2: Another insta-romance, which I am not find of. I don't see why the negotiations couldn't have spanned a couple months instead of a couple days. Months seems more realistic ... morefor a company merger anyway. The only other thing that bothered me was certain details. Like....knowing exactly what was ordered for dinner, exactly how he wanted his potatoes....why did we need to know this? I didn't mind the plot, that was interesting and I liked the POV. I chose this book because the summary looked interesting but also because of the cover which was extremely interesting. The male on the cover looked powerful and strong, but that's not how the male lead in the book was portrayed. I'm not saying he wasn't an interesting male lead but the cover doesn't fit with the story. less
