"Dim the Lights" is the epitome of books needed for one of those rainy, gloomy days with nothing to do but sit back and indulge in a sexy and ,somewhat, sappy romantic read. Hot men, who knows they are indecently HOT, and gorgeous women, who for some god-don't-know-why reason believe that they are not worth a dime, so happens to find each other, start scandalous affairs, and end up together in love and living happily ever after.My only regret with the compilation is the story by Velvet Carter. I get disappointed everytime I get prepped up for the big and nasty and get only a peek of what happens. I feel ... morethat Carter builds up to the eroticism and suddenly loses steam by just mentioning of what happens in the passing. For example, she would start strong as to go on painfully expletive of how clothes are flying everywhere and glass are breaking from their tumultuous performance and then POOF!!! blows off ensuing descriptives by just saying "yeah, they did it and liked it." Ummmm.... Oookay!!!Besides Carter's lack-luster insert, Evans' and Taylor's stories were entertaining but ,again, predictable. "Dim the Lights" is a great way to shave off a couple of hours of a rather slow day. However, if you are looking for one of those STAND OUT erotic romances that you would read over and over again on a sunny AND rainy day, this is not one.
review 2: I received Dim the Lights free as a Goodreads First Reads Winner. The book is three different stories. The first one I had a diffucult time being interested in. The characters were not interesting to me at all. The second story a little better and the third was okay. My ratings for them individually would have been 1-2-3 in that order. All three stories have what I would call instant attraction and vacation sex. Most instances to me were not really believable. A lot of detail but not much to really hold my interest. Kind of a disappointment to me. less
