review 1: I really enjoyed this fantasy, post-apocalyptic novel about some 20-somethings who survived a flu that killed 90% of the population. In the wake of the flu, the survivors turn into violent crazies or develop unusual skills (like telepathy. The only thing I didn't like about this book was the ongoing teen drama of romantic relationship. The main characters are best friends living on opposite coasts. They and their bands of friends work their way inland attempting to find each other. I recommend this fun read.
review 2: This is a great novel written by two very promising new authors. They bring two unique voices to the two main characters who are best friends on opposite ends of the country. There is an fun array of characters that all bring something different... more to the story. This is one of those books you just can't put down! It is a wonderful set up for the other 3 books of the 4 book series. I can't wait to see what happens! less
