review 1: Lisa was a new author for me and let me tell you, this book did not disappoint! It is full of suspense and secrets lurking in the shadows. When I first started the book, I thought ok another sex club book....totally wrong! It was so much more than that. Katie is living a life anyone would would envy looking from the outside...but she is missing the most important thing - unconditional love. She grew up a wealthy socialite but didn't know what love and compassion felt like until she took her place at the Vandercamp Foundation. A place that gave her purpose along with those she helped give a second chance at life. But when her life crashes and burns around her at her Fiancé's betrayal, she makes a decision that alters her path. “If you had one shot, or one opportu... morenity to seize everything you ever wanted. review 2: Holy moly-- what a ride!! This book was great, and I am shocked that I have not come across this author before now. She has a way with those words, that's for sure!! This story has it all-- steam, love, murder, mystery and suspense- what more could you want?? I really can't say too much about this one, because I cannot give away the big secret of who the hero is. But the story is about a socialite, who after catching her fiancé in a rather compromising position with his ex, flees to the comfort of her best friend and her boyfriend- who just happen to be members of an exclusive sex club in town. Riding on the waves of her recently broken trust, she decides to be adventurous and go to the club, for the sole purpose of having one night of mind altering passion with a complete stranger. She is set up with a man, who more than fulfills her every fantasy, giving her the best night of her life. Only, she never sees his face- complete anonymity. She falls asleep in his arms, only to be awakened later to pandemonium at the club- which allows her and her best friend to make her hasty exit, and her mystery man is nowhere to be found. She quickly decides to put her night behind her, even though she cannot get the man out of her head. He even haunts her dreams. So, when she discovers that the pandemonium she encountered as she left the club, is due to a murder that occurred while she was there- she is shocked to find out the identity of the man she was with on that fateful night. And she is even more shocked to find out that he is the suspect in the murder. She immediately knows that she must do whatever it takes to save him. This leads to a fantastic storyline, and several twists and turns that you will never see coming. I highly recommend this book-- it was a 5 star read for me!! Be sure to pick it up!! less
