review 1: 80 pagesFamily Stone Romantic Suspense series book 1 (of 4). Each is a stand alone.I was immediately intrigued that Jess was a former sniper and would seriously have loved to have seen the story focus on that time and the struggle she had with her conscience in her then chosen profession as well as the romance of course. In Stone Cold Heart Jess has hung up her gun, forever. Six months later she finds herself on a highly explosive and volatile humanitarian mission along with a man she never thought to see again. It's up to Colin ex SAS to make sure they reach their political target and eliminate by whatever means necessary. Jess wonders at her own involvement since she's yet to be briefed but when she opens her pack, her heart plummets. Did Colin forget her haunted words i... moren the dark six months ago? Or will she have to put aside her conscience yet again and at what cost to herself or any future with the man she's been unable to forget. I'm not sure sex would be at the forefront of my mind with all that was going on, still, I enjoyed it.
review 2: I liked this book but it was to short. I felt like it was rushed. I would like to read the others in this series but I didn't like it enough to buy them especially when the story was rushed. it had a lot of potential. I felt there could have been a lot more of seeing their relationship grow, instead they agree to see where it goes & it's over. I give it 3 stars bc I was really into the book when it stopped. less
