review 1: i got a little bit past page 100 and i wanted to shoot myself i really wanted to like this book because the idea of the story sounded interesting but cheyenne the main girl character...... she was like bella except she was more whiny and accident prone who wants to be around someone who cries all of the time? and had i know that this was going to be a love triangle i would not have even started this book in the first place i HATE HATE love triangles. yuck someone who can't make up her mind and finds she has feelings for both AHHHHHH!! WHINY WHINY WHINY!!!! i wanted to keep reading to find out about the rings and i liked colt BUT i could not get past her character and how ANNOYING she was.
review 2: Another free book from Amazon Kindle and another great sur... moreprise. This was not a disappointment. A nice and different paranormal romance for me. Most all of the paranormal romances I have read in YA are all about angels or vampires but this book was about neither and what a refreshing change. And YES another series! But lucking for me I have quite a few to read before I'm caught up the the latest addition (book 4 set to release in 2014). Cheyenne is the female lead in this book and after the death of her adoptive parents she finds out that she is not entirely human. She is actually of a superior race of which is dying out.I found this book to be a great start to the series. A bit confusing at times with all of the information that is thrown at you about mid way through the book. But this was how Cheyenne found out all of the information (kind of just thrown at her at once) and as the book progressed it was nice to work through all of the information along with Cheyenne.My only issue with this book was the ending. I did not find the ending to be cliff hanger enough to keep me reading the series non-stop. What I mean by that is I have no issues with reading other books I have saved on my to-read shelf and then coming back to this series. less
