review 1: A Review for you!!! 'The Touch By Lisa OlsenSynopsis:Lexi Morgan has always had The Touch; the ability to pick up an object and 'see' its past. Doomed to wearing protective gloves at all times, she learned to accept it as equal parts gift and curse. When her brother in law Neil disappears, she'd rather tell her sister to celebrate than try to help find the jerk. But after her young niece vanishes as well, it's time to put her gift to good use and help track her down, especially when handsome Detective Gabriel Ryan takes over the case. When the investigation leads them to the restless spirits of long dead children, they must work together to keep history from repeating itself before it's too late.My Review:The Touch By Lisa Olsen: I am becoming quite the fan of Ms. Olsen! H... moreer writing style, The banter between the characters and the depth of each one. In The Touch, Lexi, has a "gift" she is one of the people who can "see" a persons thoughts and actions if she touches a personal item that belongs to them. When Lexi's brother in law Neil (not such a great guy) disappears without a trace, her sister Allie calls her to help in her special way. This is where we meet Detective Gabriel Ryan, a familiar face to Lexi (not telling you how you have to read it) and together they try and solve the mystery. Add in other Characters like Paul and Maddie , Lexi's house mates, and Chloe , Allie's daughter who also has a gift, of seeing ghosts. Will Lexi believe Chloe when she tells her about the ghosts and how some of them are evil..What happens to Chloe? Will Gabriel freak out when he finds out why Lexi ALWAYS wears gloves, will he think shes a nut case? and just where is Neil? Read this wonderfully written book to find out! This story moves quickly and you are finished before you know it.... YES its THAT good. I give The Touch 5 pairs of gloves! Ms. Olsen I look forward to reading more of your work!
review 2: I was just bouncing around trying to find something different from my norm. While there is the obvious need for an editor, I still like the story well enough to finish. It did not grab me, and I actually had to come back to it a few times because I just did not "feel" the vibe Ms. Olsen was trying to convey. However, I did see enough to make me want to go back and see something else. I wonder what the author feels is her 'signature' piece...the one she wants to really be known for having written. less
