review 1: The book opens with the rescue of three people who were kidnapped in the Middle East. With the rescue at the very beginning I was wondering where the story was going to go from here... but the action and mystery continued. There were moments of suspense throughout this book that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I had read the first book in this series and was happy to see Ashley & Matt in this one. I liked how the relationship between Ashley and Staci grew. The relationship between Tristian and Staci seemed to build realistically. The only part I was a bit disappointed in was near the end when Staci stalker corners her in the office. I could see this coming as soon as the suspect was given a name, I just wish it hadn't seemed so easy for him to get to Staci... more. Overall I did enjoy this book and look forward to reading more from Liz.
review 2: Actually more like 4 1/2, but Goodreads won't let me do that. This is one of the best "love inspired suspense" novels that I have read, and I have read a lot of them since my wife got me "hooked." It does have the standard romance formula (boy and girl meet, trouble ensues, boy and girl become an "item"), but one cannot criticize a book of this genre for being of the genre. Were it not, it would be in another genre. The excitement of this book begins right from the beginning and maintains throughout, there is a lot of subtle humor, and the female protagonist is not some wimp waiting to be rescued by a man. This is a good read, despite the genre. less

I loved this series. Reminded me of the Dee Henderson's Uncommon Heroes series!
Does anyone know the rest of the books that go along with this mini series?
Good, quick, easy read. Pretty good mystery.
