review 1: It's very interesting point of view of someone who sees Angels in everyday life everywhere. Have to admit it's bit harder to imagine life of Lorna, even tho I believe in something bigger and wiser than us humans, not totally compatible with view of Angels with real wings, etc... still book and real life in past century including troubles Lorna has to go through while not being allowed to tell everyone what she sees is something extra ordinary. It's hard to believe you have advisors on every step of your life, only thing you need to do is to ask :-)On other hand you know that feeling like something's telling you to do this or that? well, Lorna would tell you it's angels directing you. Like this idea. Book is tiny format depicting time from yearly years to little bit more af... moreter Lorna's husbands death, or so I have feeling.. she likes to skip in timeline once upon time. Especially if she is told by angels about something important for future but need to wait till it happens. Writing style is of someone who is not skilled, but ordinary person telling his/hers story which makes it even more believable. Not sure how orthodox Catholics would see this book but personally it's interesting insight under the lid of big religion pan where almost everything is being cooked but you can't help yourself and like it :-)
review 2: Very bland and disjointed writing style.Not biblical based as far as what the bible tells us about angles and the way to eternal life.Mrs. Byrne seemed to want to sell a lot a books and to do this not offend anyone along the way. The chapter on America seemed a very strange add on to me. Again to sell more books?Every time a chapter seemed to drag on to long I kept having thoughts that she suffered from a mental illness. It was interesting to learn about her upbringing during very difficult time in Ireland. As far as the angles in her hair it was a bit over the top for me anyway. I do believe there are angles sent to us by God but they are not greater or equal to God, Son or Holy Spirit. less
