review 1: I really wasn't that impressed by this book. I agree with what others said that the cover and description is really what got me to read it. I don't think that the book did justice to the description. The characters seemed really flat to me, and they just didn't make me care for them like I do for other characters in a book. I mean, it was a somewhat ok book, but I think the author could have done so much more with this book. Hopefully the next will show that potential in it, and fulfill it.
review 2: I think it only started out slow for me was because I was still focusing on my classes when I started reading the book. But once my classes were over and I'd taken my exams I flew through it!! I did like some of the characters and their stories more than others.. l
... moreike Olivia and Zack. I love the little romance stuff that went on in Olivia's story that's why hers was my favorite. Zack's just because although he was the snooty guy with Alex he still cared about other things. Alex made me mad, just because she only cared about herself and didn't care if she got others in trouble. Although she was introduced to all the culture and traveling at a young age she was the stereotypical rich, spoiled, brat. When she doesn't get what she wants she through a temper tantrum. PJ's story was frustrating at first just because I wanted to know what was up with her family back home. The host family she was with I thought were weird from the beginning because both of their homes aren't even lived in and the maid doesn't do what she was hired for so why does she still have a job. The host father for PJ was just plain creepy in the end, but at first I totally thought he was a harmless guy that was missing a daughter he lost or something, but never thought he would be a perv. I also thought his wife was just really mean and judgmental. Overall I did like the book, not all of it because some stories were kind of annoying just cause the characters, but looooved others. :) So I guess it was a love/hate book. less

Strictly YA territory. Slightly above average in quality though.
