review 1: "Until Tuesday" is essentially about the aftermath of one of our physically and psychologically wounded heroic veterans of the Iraq war, and his road to recovery after meeting Tuesday, a simply amazing golden retriever service dog.It is eye-opening, informative, uplifting, tender, funny and sad. I just don't "get" some of the doubting, critical comments about his book that have been in the media, when it took Luis Montalvan courage, perseverance and strength to write it, and gives inspiration to everyone who reads it.I've read thousands of good books, and would say, if you've only got one more book to read in your lifetime, let it be "UNTIL TUESDAY".Chrissie Godfrey
review 2: I first read the picture book version and loved that book and I enjoyed the full stor
... morey as well. The author is a military veteran who is badly injured in Afghanistan. He comes home with physical and mental (PTSD) injuries. Life is quite hard for him and he is pretty much of a loner until he gets a service dog, Tuesday. Tuesday not only helps him physically, but does a lot to calm his PTSD and bring him out of his shell. Tuesday is a beautiful dog and people loved to stop the author to meet him. I felt that I got a much better understanding of PTSD by reading this book. This is a wonderful book about the love between humans and dogs. less
