review 1: This book was a quick read, had some nice little points in the story that were different and refreshing. However, this was a bit more bratty high school type of kids. There wasn't really any maturity to the dialogue or the characters, yet they were dealing with some really mature topics and situations.Having said that, I didn't hate this book or the characters. I liked some things about all of it, but it wasn't quite enough to push me into the next books in the series.Therefore - for me - this was just okay.
review 2: I really enjoyed this book Cherie goes through a huge learning curve, navigating her way through her new life. I loved watching her on her way to becoming the Queen of her own castle. Don't get me started on Scarborough or Scar as he's known, I... moret's beyond addicting Cherie's had one hell of a hard life and when the knight in shinning armor rides in and her Mother tells her to pack her bags. Cherie remains skeptical and she has a good reason to. less
