review 1: This book was sad but inspiring! I can not even imagine what that was like, being raped by someone. It was amazing how Nicolette pushed through her hard times and how she became stronger from this experience. It really shows how hard it can be to experience something like being raped and how with time and love you can get through it. The past may never go away but it will still make you a better person. There is a saying I heard and that is "Forgive and forget what has hurt you in the past, but never forget what it has taught you." There is another saying that I find relates to a lot of parts in the book and I find that it is a very important to things related to being raped, the saying is "I FORGIVE BUT I DON'T FORGET!!!" I would recommend this book to anyone who has been... more through some kind of traumatizing experience or just wants to read some type of inspiring book. It is and amazing book but sad too.
review 2: I tried to read this, and it's very rare that I ever stop reading a book and not finish it. That being said, I had to stop with this one. Between the poor editing/grammar, it just didn't flow well. The characters were too formal, everything seemed almost robotic in a sense. And normally, insta-love isn't TOO bad, but this one seemed a bit much. And all this from the first 30% or so. I'm sorry to say I couldn't read it right now. Maybe later. I'm not sure if I have an unedited version, as I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review for the blog tour. That being said, once it is edited or re-edited, I would love to give it another chance.This book has potential, and I hope with a few changes, it does great! Right now, for me anyway, it needs improvement for me to finish, but I will give it another shot, when I'm not pressured for a tour or anything. less
