review 1: It's been a long time since I read a book with such an annoying, whiny, self-centered MC. She was horrible. I didn't like her at all and thought the entire concept was kind of lame. Who just goes with everything they are told and accepts it blindly after being kidnapped and watching other horrible things happen? And then still whines about loving the psycopath who has them captive? Not enjoyable at all for me. I only finished to use it for a reading challenge. And the only reason it gets 2 instead of 1 star is the correct use of lose and loose (finally!) and the way the characters were paired up using romantic couples of literature.
review 2: The story line seemed interesting, but as soon as I started reading, I was not into the story at all. I read up to
... more60 pages and just stopped reading the book. The girl in the story is completely obsessed with her teacher and bases all her actions on what she thinks he would want her to do. Basically a story outlining a controlling, manipulative, abusive relationship between a teacher and student. Thought it would be a good read, but definitely was not. less
