review 1: A nice modern twist on the classic epistolary-style novel. The story is told entirely in emails between a group of co-workers and their former colleagues, family members, and associates. The various email settings allow people's personalities to come through -- a "bcc" is equivalent to a knife in the back, for example. Read "E" first so that this book makes sense. Otherwise, you won't quite know who all these people are and why you should care. Also, "E" was better.
review 2: Having skewered advertising and film in his earlier books, Beaumont now turns his attention to irritatingly trendy creative startups and expands the 'told through email' to include texts, tweets, blogs and so on. Some of our favorite characters from 'e' make an appearance (yay!) and again
... more there's a genuine story to keep things moving along (not a given in a comedy). Everything builds to a suitably apocalyptic conclusion and once again the format doesn't feel like it's forced: Beaumont's genius is to actually make it feel like the natural medium, like he's picked the perfect blog post out of hundreds to illustrate a character's mindset. less

I thought this book was funny. The characters were very interesting and the emails were hilarious.

Satisfying sequel even through the concept didn't feel as original the second time around.

not as hillarious as the previous one, but still witty
