review 1: The story of two teenagers with Cancer defiantly made me think a lot about TFIOS while reading this book, but I was pleasantly surprised that this book didn't seen like a copy of that at all. Focusing on the a family who have just heard the news their youngest son has Cancer, as well as the a romance between the son and another cancer patient, this is a very touching story that everyone can relate too.
review 2: I feel a bit cheated by this novel. Reading the first chapter and just even by looking at the book's cover and title, you'd think there'd be more of a Nirvana/musical theme running through it. But nope! The writing isn't bad and there are some funny moments in it, but I wouldn't say it brings anything new to the young-adult genre. I think if Crow would'
... moreve focused on the cancer and illness aspect more (I found it quite vague and wishy-washy)instead of turning it into a story of insta-love, the novel would be so much more enjoyable. Maybe I'm too old and I shouldn't be reading books for teenagers anymore, but I hoped for a little more depth and Nirvana theme. less
