review 1: Old Man Winter tries to tell Bear that it is time for him to go to sleep for the winter. Bear doesn't hear very well. Everytime Old Man Winter says "Sleep, Big Bear, Sleep", bear hears things like "Drive a jeep, big bear, drive a jeep" or "Sweep, big bear, sweep" which creates some funny scenes for the bear. At the end, Old Man Winter as had enough and has to yell his message to Big Bear who's response is, "You could have told me before!." Good book for winter theme. Text in rhyme.
review 2: Old Man Winter tries to tell his bear friend that it's time to go to sleep for the winter, but Big Bear misunderstands him again and again. He drives a jeep, he sweeps, and he takes a leap, but he doesn't sleep. Can Old Man Winter ever get Big Bear to go to sleep? This is
... more a cute rhyming book and is good for kids in early grades. It rhymes, making it a good read aloud book. It can be used as introduction for lessons about bears, hibernation, or changing seasons. less

This book repeats sleep big bear sleep, so kids will help you read along. Good for younger kids!

Big bear doesn't hear very well, so when he was told to sleep, he did just the opposite of that!
