review 1: A story about rich white young adults/teens in New York City that justifies their bad behavior and selfish indulgences as young people just being true to themselves with no consequences for their illegal and immoral actions. While the moral of this story is repugnant, the writing isn't terrible. I liked some of the character introductions, but there were so many of these spread through more than half of the book, there wasn't a whole lot of story to be told. It was mostly glimpses into the world of this pretty obnoxious group of rich kids who perceive their lives are less than perfect despite their families immense wealth. There's not much of a plot here, there's no character development, and most of the "story" is revealed in the epilogue. Overall a 1.5 out... more of 5
review 2: A 1 star rating DNF at 33%Okay let me start by saying this is my first non-romance book since 2012 so I was excited it sounded like it was gonna be awesome. I'm a huge fan of gossip girl so I was hoping for something like that. On that I was completely wrong I under stand that these kids have money and their spoiled. But the absolute shallowness I was not expecting.I found myself so bored with this book that I would find things to do so I wouldn't have to read it. When it reached that point I knew I was done. I had high hopes but this book just wasn't for me at all. Received a complimentary copy from NetGalley for an honest review. less
