review 1: This book was great in many ways and there are so many things to love about it! The reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5 is that unfortunately for me, there was too much fake art history in it. I ended up skimming through some of the chapters just because I wasn't particularly interested in Edward Willing's life, but apart from that, the characters were wonderful and every one had a purpose. Also, the relationship between Ella and Alex was amazing and I especially loved the e-mails they sent to one another.
review 2: I don't know...I expected it to be romantic and inspiring and it was in some ways, but then it was quirky which was cool but then it was kind of typical as well, and I hate typical.What I truly appreciated were the many allusion; topical, hi... morestorical, mythological and as well as the details that were repeated. I really did not enjoy it all that much but it was a cute story, nothing crazy or out of the ordinary but cute. less
