review 1: I am not a fan of the vampire genre but this book is so much more. Meredith Allard's Her LOving Husband's Curse is a continuation of the love between James and Sarah that began in the Salem of the 1690's. American history is present in the story, not only Salem but the Trail of Tears. Allard tells a tale of persecution be it vampires or witches or any group that does not conform to the norm. A lesson to be learned is get to know the individual not just your belief about a group. Hysteria and fear of those who are different leads to nothing but horror
review 2: This is book 2 of a Trilogy, and this is one that did not disappoint. If you have read the first book, you will love this one! The main characters, James and Sarah are back again, newly married, and ... moreare living in bliss really, but something threatens their happiness that has to due with James's immortality. There were also great historical aspects here, and if you enjoy history, you would probably appreciate this story. This was a well written novel and like the first book, there was a good flow, from scene to scene, chapter to chapter. If you have not started this series, now would be perfect as after you read book one, you can dive into book 2, and if you have read book 1, you will really enjoy this addition to the trilogy, as it was just great! :) less
