review 1: Mmmm..what to say about this book. The only thing I hated is the Total Submission part and the fact that sometimes it seems like Blake is manipulating Erica just to get what he wants. To me there is two people in a relationship so that means two people have the right to their own opinions and choices. especially outside of the bedroom. Another thing is I can not get over or understand how someone using a belt on someone else, especially someone you love with all your heart, is a turn on or just something that they "need." Like Erica said in the book that she is the only one who can understand his needs even if the rest of the world doesn't. All in all, can't wait till the 4th book comes out in a couple days.
review 2: I was really liking this one, really int... moreo it, until I hit the chapter where they end up in a hotel room in San Francisco (I think it was). I was really not into the scene in the hotel room when Blake found out about the kiss between James and Erica. I'm not a D/s expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if all the books I've read you should not have any type of interaction with your sub when anger is involved. He treated her like a dog and she let him. And it wasn't something she or he got off on either. He was just downright angry with her and felt the need to take his anger out on her. Throughout the book he is trying to change Erica. I don't think it's for her good either. But then then again, she feels lost without him and is moping around giving him puppy dog eyes all the time. She seemed like a pretty strong woman, but I don't see strength in her right now. And after being raped once, then the attempted rape in this storyline, I don't see where Blake's treatment is doing well for her. Anyway, there were still very hot scenes, and I guess I just have to try to get over that one scene. It kind of ruined the storyline for me unfortunately. I'll definitely read the next books though. I can't get through this many and not continue to the end of the story - I'm ADD like that. less
